It’s helping make my dreams come true.” Giuliette looks forward to immersing herself further in her music, expanding her audienceand making an even stronger impact on Cape Town’s vibrant music scene.

However, as her career evolves, Giuliette is eager to explore other genres. “I’d love to do some pop songs, some R&B, and perhaps even some soul. But I’d still love to do a proper jazz standards album.” She highlights her desire for versatility: “I’d love to tap into as many genres, areas, sounds and textures as possible. I not only see it as a way to solidify my professionalism in the industry but also as a way to showcase my abilities and strengths as a musician.”
Her debut EP, RATHER LIE, reflects her evolving sound, with each track representing different stages of her journey. “I recorded this EP while I was still learning about my voice,” she shares. From the catchy, flirtatious “after 8pm,” to the deeply personal “see you again” and fan-favourite “Gabby,” each song tells a story drawn from her life. Whether reflecting on past relationships or celebrating her passion for jazz, her songwriting is a testament to her ability to blend storytelling with soulful music.
Looking ahead, Giuliette is excited about the possibilities, including collaborations with fellow artists. “I’m currently working on a project with Khaya Mthembu-Salter, and I’d love to record a standards EP with him,” she shares.
