Services Overview

On The Bill caters to two main user types: Bookers and Artists.

• For Bookers: As a Booker, you can sign up to browse and find artists for your events. When you find an artist you’re interested in, simply submit an enquiry through the website to check the artist’s availability. Our dedicated booking agents will handle all the arrangements to ensure the artist performs at your event.
• For Artists: Artists can sign up to be featured on the website. While it’s possible to list your act for free, subscribing to one of our artist packages unlocks a range of premium benefits, including but not limited to:
  • A dedicated booking agent.
  • Access to a team of professionals at preferential rates.
  • Discounts on studio recording services.
  • Priority pitching for events.
  • Promotion on OTB’s platforms.
  • Exclusive access to industry events.

Account Creation and Management

• Guests: Guests can browse the website to view our artists, gig guide, blog, and other content. However, to book an artist or be listed as an artist, you must create an account.
• Bookers: To book an artist, you must register as a Booker.
• Artists: To be listed on our website, you must register as an Artist.
• Account Information: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and for all activities under your account.

Artist Packages and Subscription Terms

• Packages: Artists can choose from three subscription packages:

1. 1. Brenda Fassie Package: R599/month
   2. Hugh Masekela Package: R1499/month
   3. Miriam Makeba Package: R2499/month

• Payment Method: Payments for packages are made via Payfast and are automatically debited monthly.
• 3-Month Commitment: A 3-month commitment is required for all artist packages. If you cancel within this period, a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining contract obligation will apply.
• Price Changes: The prices of our subscription packages are subject to change. However, any price changes will not affect artists who are already subscribed; they will continue to pay the amount they have been paying before the price change.
• Payment Failure: If your card is not successfully debited and we do not receive payment within 10 working days, it will be assumed that you have terminated your contract. If this occurs within the 3-month commitment period, a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining contract obligation will apply.

• Mailing List: When you sign up, your email is automatically added to our mailing list in MailChimp. You can unsubscribe at any time.

User Responsibilities

• Acceptable Use: You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse our site or engage in any activity that could harm the site or other users.
• Prohibited Activities: Any inappropriate or unauthorized use of the website may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

Limitation of Liability

• You shall use the website at its own risk. OTB makes no warranty that:
• The website will be free from bugs, viruses, malware or other harmful components and will not be liable for any loss or damage as a result thereof.
• There will be uninterrupted operation of the website at all times.
• Your sole remedy, in the event that any defects or errors on the website become apparent, shall be to request that we remedy such defect/error, to the extent that we are able to do so.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not not be held liable to you for any claims or demands, including (but not limited to) claims for costs, loss, specific performance, damages (whether direct or indirect) and/or expenses (including any legal expenses) howsoever arising, whether arising in contract or delict or otherwise, arising out of or related to a security breach or other cause beyond our reasonable control which results in the loss, theft, unauthorised copying,  unauthorised access, or destruction, of your Data.
• Service Issues: If we fail to provide the service as agreed, you may be eligible for a refund for that month’s payment. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the service.

Termination of Service

• Termination: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms and Conditions. We will notify you of any such action.

Dispute Resolution

• Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Western Cape, South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in this region.

Amendments to the Terms

• Updates: We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on our website with the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
